Being low on supplies teaches you to improvise. Don’t have dressing? Make dressing! The best cooking often involves a bit of creativity.
Today’s post comes courtesy of some frozen fruit and frozen fish. The halibut is not my favorite choice for fish, but it’s probably still healthier than my favorite slab of red meat.
To make the fruit dressing (It goes with the fish, not salad), I added some vegetable oil along with about a spoon full of brown sugar (hello Mary Poppins!).
The fish combines incredibly well with the fruit sauce, especially since I did not add anything, including salt, to the fish.
The spinach has yogurt dressing.
